Buildings, recipes and bot commands

Everything in the game in one place, taken straight from the game's own data (version 0.9.3.9).

Buildings

BuildingWhat it doesCostFrom level
BeltMoves items forward. Drag to lay a line. A belt takes one input: from behind, or from one side when nothing feeds it from behind; a Merger joins lines.free1
ExtractorPlace on a deposit. Mines it forever and outputs forward, one item at a time. To feed two machines from one extractor, split its belt with a Splitter (level 4).5 Wood and 5 Stone1
SignA label for your factory. Click it to edit the text.free1
FurnaceSmelts ore into plates, stone into brick, iron plates into steel and sand into glass. Picks the recipe from its input.10 Stone2
SawmillCuts 2 wood into 1 plank.10 Wood2
AssemblerCrafts parts from several inputs. Click it to choose a recipe.10 Iron Plates and 5 Planks3
TrashDestroys anything fed into it, from any side.5 Stone3
SplitterTakes items from behind and deals them out front, left and right.4 Iron Plates4
MergerCombines items from the back, left and right into one output, taking turns fairly.4 Iron Plates4
TunnelCarries items underground. Place an entrance, then an exit up to 4 tiles ahead facing the same way.4 Iron Plates and 2 Planks4
FilterThe chosen item passes straight through; everything else leaves by the sides.4 Iron Plates and 4 Wire5
DepotStores up to 200 items. Belts and bots can fill it; it unloads onto a belt at its front.10 Iron Plates and 10 Bricks5
Hub ExtensionPart of the Hub. Place it touching the Hub or another connected extension: anything belted in, from any side, is delivered.10 Bricks and 5 Iron Plates5
FabricatorBuilds advanced components from three inputs. Click it to choose a recipe.10 Steel, 20 Bricks and 5 Circuits6
Bot BayHome of one programmable bot. Click the bay to write its program.10 Steel, 10 Circuits and 10 Gears6
Priority SplitterSends items straight ahead while it can. Only when the front is blocked do they go out the sides: an overflow valve.6 Iron Plates and 2 Wire7
Trading PostSells anything fed into it, from any side. Pays more the further it is from the Hub: ×1 nearby, up to ×2 at 80 tiles. Sales here don't count toward level goals.20 Bricks, 5 Steel and 10 Planks8

Recipes

"Per minute" is what one machine makes when it is never short of input. Need more? Build more machines side by side, or use the planner in the game's Recipe book.

Bot commands

From level 6 a Bot Bay holds one bot you program with one command per line. Bots fly over everything, so they can stock machines, empty depots and run outposts.

CommandWhat it does
goto x yfly to a tile (bots fly over everything)
goto hub / goto homefly to the hub, or back to this bay
goto nearest depotfly to the closest building of a type (depot, assembler, furnace, extractor, …)
fill item|anykeep taking from the building below until the bot is full
empty [item|all]keep dropping into the building below until the bot is empty
set name 0 / add name 1store a number in a variable (add can be negative)
if name >= 10 jump labelcheck a variable
take item [n]pick up from the building below: hub, depot, a machine's output, an extractor
take any [n]pick up whatever is there
take wire 4 / take gear 2several takes in a row carry a mix; the cargo limit counts every kind together. The panel shows what the bot holds and why a line did nothing
drop [item|all] [n]put cargo into the building below: hub, depot, a machine's input, trash
wait secondspause
name:a label to jump to
jump namecontinue from a label
if carrying < 5 jump namejump when the cargo count matches (< > <= >= = !=)
if hub item > 50 jump namecheck hub storage
if here item = 0 jump namecheck the building below (use any for all items)
stopend the program

Example programs (the same ones the Bot Bay offers)

Stock a machine

# Keep a machine stocked from the hub.
# Change 5 3 to your machine's tile (hover it to see x y).
goto hub
take iron_plate 20
goto 5 3
drop all
wait 5

Outpost ferry

# Bring everything from a remote depot back to the hub.
# Change 40 12 to your depot's tile.
start:
goto 40 12
take any
if carrying = 0 jump idle
goto hub
drop all
jump start
idle:
wait 5
jump start

Nearest depot run

# Fill up at the closest depot, unload at the hub, count the trips.
set trips 0
start:
goto nearest depot
fill any
goto hub
empty
add trips 1
if trips < 100 jump start
stop

Collect output

# Collect finished parts from a machine and deliver them.
# Change 8 2 to your machine's tile.
start:
goto 8 2
take any
if carrying < 10 jump start
goto hub
drop all
